How do I enable the wheel?

Player should have a gamepad plugged in as well as the wheel.  The game will automatically detect the wheel, but it will not detect the wheel immediately upon starting.  After the EA Sports™ screen upon startup, there will be a video of NASCAR® racers – to skip this video, press START on the gamepad.  The START button on the wheel is not activated yet.

After the video, the game will load and prompt you to press START.  After this point, you can use the wheel buttons to navigate.

You can also enable the wheel by following these menu commands:

The game will prompt you to press the START button of the device (gamepad or wheel) that you wish to use in the race.  Press START on the wheel to enable it.

Can I use a hub?

Yes, you can use a hub with NASCAR® Thunder™ 2003.

How can I choose between automatic and manual transmission?

Start a race and pause the game.  Go into "Car Setup", and change transmission type.

How can I re-configure the buttons?

NASCAR® Thunder™ 2003 allows a few different button configurations.  To select a configuration, follow these menu commands:

How can I calibrate the wheel?

The Logitech® Driving Force™ will automatically calibrate when you steer it all the way to the left and right.  There is no option for custom calibration.

How can I adjust force feedback?

Make sure the power cable is plugged into the wheel.

Logitech® GT Force™ compatibility:

Yes, the Logitech® GT Force™ works in NASCAR® Thunder 2003™.  Although you can still use the gamepad to navigate the menus, you can navigate the menus with the wheel too.  Here are the button mappings:
