I have the Motherboard recommended Via Drivers. Do you have to uninstall the current Via Drivers before setting up the new?

Mother Board ASUS A7V133A Via Apollo Chipset
Via Driver: AllinOne 4.37 (Motherboard Recommended -although I am willing to try another)
Video Card GeForce 3 TI 200 (latest Drivers as of 1-4-03 Nvidia Detonator for Win XP Verion 41.09)
Western Digital Hard Drive ATA100
SoundBlater Live
Windows XP
Using Directx 8.1
Logitech MOMO -version 4.2 drivers
Game is Nascar Racing 2002 by Sierra/Papyrus Using current update for game.
PC Locks up during play.
Time taken for lockup to occur varies.
Re-installed Windows XP with same result.
Probelm does not occur with all of the driving help options in control settings selected. Does occur if driving helps are not selected. I am trying to get the software to work with graphics and sound settings maxed out as these were the settings recommended by the game when installed. I did experience the same problem with video driver release just prior to version currently used. I upgraded in attempt to correct the lockups. I am not having problems with any other game and I use several.
Thanks in advance....
