agreed. these FF sticks do not compare with even a poor quality non-FF one in non-FF games

I have the same experience. The Strike Force 3d is a great FF controller, but I simply would not recommend it for non-FF games. You can get an excellent Extreme 3D cheap at Overstock.com for use with non-force games.

I have a WingMan Strike Force 3D and it has a zone in about the middle inch or more of the stick's throw that the centering spring function does not affect. I have the centering effect set to 150% but I can still move the stick freely in that middle area. This makes calibration difficult, and play in some games near impossible, since I can't feel the center. I experience this effect in the control panel as well as in games such as SW Starfighter. I don't notice it as much in FF games.
I'm running version 4.11 of the drivers. I have exchanged the stick once at the store where I purchased it, and the second stick acted identically.
