Maybe the configuration is stored by FIFA game in a file int he directory? And perhaps this files is messed up? Maybe an un-install, re-install of the game might help. After the un-install delete any files that FIFA leaves behind. Then do a clean install.

Yes I still can use the default controls to play it, but I've been playing this game using different control buttons since fifa99. I was able to change the cotrols on this cotroller before, but after my comp crashed and restarted windows it doesn't work anymore.

Mike, it sounds like FIFA doesn't recognize your controller. Can you still use it to play?

Hi,
I use WingMan Rumble 5 Logitech, when I go into Settings and try to change control buttons, I can only do it for keyboard. If I press arrows on both sides from the word "keyboard", it doesn't do anything. I know that there is a way to change that, what should I do?
Thank You.

hi:
how can i control the movement of the players in fifa 2005 with the (d pad) , because i am forced to use the analog sticks (and i dont like to play fifa with analog sticks .....:(

Which game controller are you using? Does the game work without the controller plugged in?

FIFA 2005 shuts down and I am forced to re-open the game every time I get ready to start a game.
Basically, right after I click Next after the Controller setup, the game gives me tips and then shuts down.
So I can't even play a game... :(
