I have a Wingman Force feedback mouse that do not run under Windows XP.
The original Software(3.30)
can not run under Windows XP.
Where do I find drivers for this?
Any body?

Thanks for the "regsvr32 dinput.dll
" fix! worked perfectly! I should have looked here instead of spendin 2 hours troubleshooting it. That should go in the FAQ!

I just tried the regsvr method with a win98se box and the controller(momo racing) does not respond when the properties button is pushed. I did get the registered message sucessfully though.
Gonna have to reboot at least once now to get it back, I hope.

take a look at that game faq for some tips

I have a Wingman rumblepad (usb). I have not been able to get it to work with Battlefield 1942.
The game just doesn't seem to recognize its presence, am I missing something.
driver version 4.40.143.0

Just wanted to thank Tom (Tom) since registrating dinput.dll made the trick for me.
I was having the same problem for my game controllers (Momo Formula Force + 1 Logi joystick and the rumblepad).
Thanks! :)

COD is a mouse+keyboard game with *no* gamepad support. See http://www.wingmanteam.com/files/documents/webfaqs/wmgamehelp/Game_Specific_Issues/Call_of_Duty.htm
If you want to use a gamepad in that style of game then follow the instructions in the game or profiler faq for FPS users
http://www.wingmanteam.com/files/documents/webfaqs/wmgamehelp/FPS_Games/Overview.htm
Remember since this game has no gamepad support you might be best to
- make a "persistent" profile
- have profiler window open while playing game (required to ensure that something is polling the gamepad to generate input)

David - I'm at the same point here - it really looks like the Import doesn't give anything that the Rumble Pad can use.
Also, while manually adding the buttons, they worked randomly in the training area.

I have a new rumble pad and are trying to play call of duty but the game won't pick it up i have downloaded the call of duty profile and loaded it to the profiler. The rumble pad is working i have tested it in the calibration. I can manualy load the trigger button and it will work in the game but tried to do the axis with no luck im sure there should be a simpler way.

try this: (thanks Sarge!)
Start->Run... "cmd.exe"
In the command box, type:
regsvr32 dinput.dll
You should get a box about "registration succeeded". Then try the control panel again. Let us know whether that worked...

I am having the exact same problem. Both my MOMO Force and Wingman Extreme report ok but when I click on them it says "the game controller is not responding".
I hope someone can figure this out.

That's keyboard autorepeat. If you press and hold a key on your keyboard, it will do the same.
A game that's actually looking at "key down" and "key up" events will see it pressed, and when you release the button, will see it released. Only apps that read for text input (like Notepad or Word or the such) are going to see repeated press/releases.

I've a problem on some games....... Simple pressing of button (defined as key 'A' in example) repeats this key many times, not a one. What's wrong? What I have to do ?

hmm, well... I just installed the driver *only*, and Rumblepad is rumbling fine in MS Flight Sim 2004 for me now. I don't need the rest of the Wingman software so I guess I'm happy now :)

check my thread here:

I have the same problem, "Game controller is not responding" but the controllers were tested and work fine. Even more odd is that the driver WAS working fine with my wired rumblepad, but when I upgraded the Wingman software for my new wireless Rumblepad, this started happening. I've tried different versions since, no luck.
I've tested the new wireless Rumblepad on my work PC running XP, and it worked just fine, at least with the CD-ROM version of the Wingman software.
hmm, I never actually tried using it in a game after I saw this message, I'll give it a go. the basic XP drivers don't have rumble :(

Further Wierdness
Just tried it out in a couple applications I had handy on the xp side, snes9x and zsnes, doesn't really work much at all in zsnes, but sorta works in snes9x (I can set the mappings to the appropriate snes buttons, but the pov pad only half works and the buttons don't work all of the time)
vs. when i'm in 98se, the thing works fine in zsnes

Been having problems lately with the rumblepad (usb) under xp pro, namely I get "the game controller is not responding" back from it under the game controllers section in the control panel. The really odd thing is that the thing still works great under the 98se instillation on the same computer...
I've tried updating to the 4.4 software/drivers to no avail.
Any ideas?
